Battery and BMS
The Battery Management System (BMS) is the brain of an Electric Vehicle’s battery pack, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation. In an EV, the BMS continuously monitors and manages each cell of the battery to optimize performance, extend battery life, and guarantee passenger safety. Major Components here are the Li-ion Battery, BMS and Mosfets. Li-ion Battery is used for powering the motor used in the EV. Battery Management System (BMS) is used to protect the battery from Over charge/discharge current and over/under voltage. MOSFETs are used as switches controlling and protecting from over-current and over/under voltage.
