ECU

ECU
An embedded system in automotive electronics that regulates one or more of the electrical systems or subsystems in a car or other motor vehicle is called an electronic control unit (ECU), sometimes referred to as an electronic control module (ECM).
Engine control modules (ECMs), powertrain control modules (PCMs), transmission control modules (TCMs), brake control modules (BCM or EBCM), central control modules (CCMs), central timing modules (CTMs), general electronic modules (GEMs), body control modules (BCMs), suspension control modules (SCMs), and more are examples of the various ECUs found in modern automobiles. Despite the fact that these ECUs are all distinct computers, not even one, they are commonly referred to as the car’s computer. Several separate control modules can occasionally be incorporated into an assembly.
