Fuel Mgmt

Fuel Management System is the overall system framework responsible for monitoring, analysing, and reporting fuel usage in vehicles. The major components of this system are, Ultrasonic flow and level sensors, temperature sensor and position sensors. Ultrasonic flow and level sensors measure the fuel level or fuel flow rate in the vehicle. This provides real-time data on fuel consumption. Data from here goes to the Vehicle ECU block. Temperature sensor measures the temperature of the fuel itself. This helps correct fuel density calculations for accurate injection quantity, especially in variable temperature environments. Position sensor is usually present in the engines for the engine position for the fuel injector to inject fuel according to the position given by the position sensor. The ultrasonic sensor can also beused to sense of the tank cap is on or off. The readings of ultrasonic sensors go to the vehicle ECU through the vehicle ECU interface where the information about the fuel management is displayed through the HMI.
